Reversed Role

Here is the story. My friend Jessica got asked on a date. His name is Brandon. Jessica wanted it to be a double date. Brandon couldn't find a friend for me to go with. So Jessica asked me to find a date to double with them. I will admit I didn't want to ask a guy on a date. It is not my thing unless its a girl's choice dance or if I have been dating the guy for awhile and I want to return the favor. I was seriously freaking out for many reasons. I almost backed out. But don't worry I did it. I ask my good friend Scott. Maybe I'll tell more about him later. It put me in a really awkward position. Who pays? Who Picks up? and Who opens the door? ummm yes I did think of that. Lets start with who pays? I asked right so I should pay. But that could look weird if Brandon is paying for Jessica and I am paying for Scott. I didn't want him being the MAN to feel bad this other guy Brandon is paying and he's not. Who picks up? Once again I asked so I should pick up. But I didn't want him feeling bad cause he's the Man and the guy usually drives. Who opens the door? yes I freaked out about that on my way out the door. Since you are all probably wondering what happened I will tell you. We made the date really casual to avoid all awkwardness as possible. We decided on making grill cheese sandwhiches and watching the office. Brandon went before the date and got the stuff to make grilled cheese. So who pays was avoided quite nicely. Who picks up? I thought about asking him what he would prefer but then I just told him I would pick him up. Then the door thing....he opened my door some of the time. ha ha.
So we made the grilled cheese and watched the office but we also dressed up with outfits we picked for each other. Brandon's grandparents had all these old clothes. Then we went to Smiths. We got alot of fun looks from people there.
This date was alot of fun and I learned alot from it that I might actually ask a guy out. I learned its kinda hard to ask someone on a date. I am grateful Scott did. In fact I think he liked the idea it wasn't him asking.
